Q: VW New Beetle parts in Malaysia or Singapore?
Anybody know where I can get VW New Beetle parts from Malaysia and Singapore? It doesn't matter whether they can be ordered online or not; I'm willing to fly there to buy the parts. Give me the specific address including telephone number if you know and have them. Will really appreciate the help.

A: I lost my New Beetle wheel cap a few months ago. I ordered a replacement for my dealer but waited for a few weeks and was told that they had to get the parts from their Singapore regional warehouse. Finally I gave up waiting and got the part from Singapore myself. The VW stockist in Singapore is: XinZhong Auto Enteprise, 247 Lavender Street, Singapore 238787 Tel: +65 62916051 Fax: +65 62916052 E-mail: xzauto@singnet.com.sg Enjoy driving a New Beetle!

Q: Is there a reference book 4 VW beetle interchangeable parts 4 earlier years ?
Hi, I have a standard 1970 VW bug, and am looking for a book/manual, or website, which tells what parts will work with what year bugs. Example, 1970 front seats will work with years 1968-1971 standard bugs. Information such as which year wiper motors will work in a 1970 standard bug etc. Does a book/manual and or website exist ? Thanks for any help luvmybug

A: A Haynes manual is what I have for my 69 VW Beetle.

Q: is there a vw beetle parts store in orlando fl?

A: Not that I have been able to find. If you are local, you may want to join the Central Florida VW Club. There was a aircooled specialist with a bit of a parts store over on Colonial near Winter Garden a little while back but everything I heard about him was that he wasn't worth the trouble to go see. Fisher Buggies is in Tampa, but I don't hear many good things about them either. I buy all of my stuff on-line. UPS is cheaper than the gas to go get the parts.

Q: Looking for a salvage yard in Oklahoma that would carry parts for a 1971 VW beetle?
I am restoring a 71 beetle and I cant seem to find any yards that have parts I am looking for in Oklahoma.

A: Well I cant give you a direct answer (California here) but the problem is somewhat universal. Try these universal solutions: Used: Craigslist for your local area (www.craigslist.org) eBay: Sometimes expensive when freight is added in, but you can at least look at the item via photos. (www.ebay.com) New: JC Whitney (www.JC Whitney.com) Airhead (www.airhead.com I think) good luck... .

Q: Where can I find the best parts store for a 1974 vw beetle?
I am having a hard time finding the parts i need to restore my 74 vw. The engine is good but i need some rear fenders and running boards

A: As I'm sure you will look and find cheaper parts online, I add this warning: Wolfsburg West, West Coast Metric, and Mid America Motorworks seem alot more expensive, (they are), but be very careful of where your cheaper parts are coming from! I bought a lot of parts from places such as JCWhitney, and you will get what you pay for!! The cheaper companies do not hold the suppliers to the high standards that should be required for something going 60MPH and carrying your butt feet from the road. You will find many parts that simply do not fit, or do not work. By the time you are done with the added expense, and the hassle, you could have bought the more expensive part and done it right the first time!

Q: 1978 VW Super Beetle Convertible parts?

Q: Parts for 1999 VW Beetle?
I am looking for a place to get inexpensive parts for a VW beetle i just bought used some things are in disrepair and I'd like to fix them anyplace besides Ebay? I am looking for things like a headlight assembly etc.

A: I buy just about all my VW parts here http://www.vw-parts-direct.com/ You might find slightly cheaper deals on stuff like headlights if you want cheap Taiwan copies. The one sold here are genuine Bosch which just aren't that cheap. Most of the stuff I've bought from them has been signifigantly cheaper that what i can get it for at my local parts store (if they even have it). Even with shipping added. For example I bought a head gasket (genuine German) for $18. Local parts store had one made by an off-brand company for $32. Shipping is quick too. And unlike some other online parts vendors, I've yet to have ANY problems with these folks. If you are looking for cheap "Taiwan" body parts, you might call around the local salvage yards. A lot of them are also dealers for cheap replacement body parts. They tend to get parts dropped off every day so you can order it one day, pick it up the next and not worry about shipping. Sometimes it's the best deal going and you will be buying the same stuff most body shops use.

Q: If I have a 1966 VW Beetle, can I still buy new German parts or is it all only Brazilian parts now?
What companies sell the German parts? WCM, JC Whitney, BFY, Wolfsburg West, and Mid American motorworks do not have the German stuff. Only Brazilian. Surely there is a way to import some car parts from Germany right? What about the old air-cooled VW's in Germany? Don't they have their own German parts that they use or do they also have to import their car parts from Brazil? The Brazilian stuff is of such low quality...

A: I bought a used New Beetle in California last month and saved some cash. I haven't had any problems yet. I'll never buy a new car. http://www.findusedcardealer.com

Q: I Just bought a 72 vw beetle that I want to restore. Where should I get the parts?
I live in Atlanta, if that helps, I don't really know much about VWs but someone told me that it wouldn't be that hard to work on them. I need some place that actually KNOWS something about them, and knows more than how to look up the part in the catalog... ANY SUGGESTIONS?

A: I have a 74 karmann ghia, and I live in Adairsville, GA. Not many places there. But I use someone from up in Chattanooga, TN (I used to live there). Mainly Foreign Car Parts. 423-756-8989. THey just started a mail order service online http://www.mainlyforeign.com BUt its not relaly up yet, but I still call em and tell them what parts I need, and they call me back with a quote and then they ship it to my address. Its nice to use a small business rather than big corps! THey actually care... Like i ordered the wrong part, and they totally took care of it...But if you need the parts now, try advanced auto parts, they know a little bout VWs...but other than that..just your plain ol' corps!
