Q: how are the ac lines routed on a vw gti?
2004 vw gti vr6 i bought the car with front end damage and the ac lines were taken off because the compressor was crushed. i'm trying to put new lines back on but cant figure out how they route to get flanges to fit flush.

A: why do you need to know the routing ? are you looking for a leak ? or a charge port ? need to be more specific

Q: What is a better car overall... 06 VW GTI, MazdaSpeed3, Civic SI, or WRX? (All newer than 2004).?
I'm looking for a new or somewhat new hatchback or coupe. I'm in a wheelchair and I need somethin' a little spacious in the back for my chair. I really don't know much about cars. I can spend up to 27K for a new or used car. I have narrowed it down to a Volkswagen GTI, MazdaSpeed3, Honda Civic SI, or a Subaru WRX. Some feedback would be nice! Thank you, -Shekaib.

A: Did somebody really say "Civic Si - just plain old Boring..but you get great mpg..might as well buy a Prius"... someone needs to do their research... the newly redesigned Si is quite something else - not your usual Civic. The engineers really went to town on it. I have owned one for a year and can say it's extremely reliable, and is a joy to drive. They put a 198bhp K20 engine in the new model which is a scaled down K20 from the Honda S2000. At 6,000 rpm the camshaft switches configuration and lots of additional oomph kicks in all the way up to the red line at 8,000 rpm (not 6000rpm like regular cars) and a dedicated reverberation chamber designed into the exhaust system makes the car really change engine note. It does 29mpg, but the K20 engine does need premium gas. As for the wheelchair, the Civic sedan has a surprisingly large trunk and trunk opening. The car interior is as big as the old model Accord. It's only $22k (expect to pay MSRP). The car interior is revolutionary - regular Civics have a blue digital dash, the Si is red. Cornering is fantastic - if there's understeer additional power is sent to the wheel in question so you 'power out' to get traction back. Then there's Honda reliability. Comes only in 6 speed manual. There aren't many about and Honda make them in limited numbers. I am a big fan of the VW VR6 engine - really smooth. GTIs have a solid reputation. However there are a lot about. Don't know much about Mazdas but have heard what others have said - the zoom zoom campaign is to overcome what can be otherwise boring 'grandpa' cars. The Subaru WRX is fairly legendary and I'm sure the quickest off the mark.

Q: What's the best way to sell my car?
I want to sell my 2004 VW GTi VR6. It's in very good condition, very low mileage, but dealerships are obviously offering an insulting amount for it, which is what dealerships do, right? So I'm looking for creative ways to sell it, and to maximise the amount I get for it. Have listed on cars.com and craig's list, but kinda out of ideas after that. What's the best way to sell my car?

A: i'm a a proud ebayer. and the beauty of it is that you can set a minimum reserve. my friend bought a used range rover on ebay and she loves it. yes, ebay is going to take a small chunk of your sale price, but you can figure it into the price :) the key to selling a car on ebay is making sure you supply the carfax report to the prospective buyers. people want to be sure that the car is not a wreck. there are alot of used car dealers selling cars on ebay for ridiculously low prices (b/c they can't get them off their lot), so you have to make your car unique to a target buyer. and the bidding has to be perfectly low enough to attract people, but perfectly high enough to get what you expect. i suggest during a search for the make of model of your car, and see how many there are, and what they have been selling for. DEFINITELY use the feature of searching "completed listings" to see what that make and model has sold for in the past on ebay, if at all. the reason why ebay is so great b/c it combines two american forces 1) wanting to get a good deal, but also 2) the competitive nature of wanting to win! alot of people (including myself) have ended up paying more for an item than anticipated, just b/c we wanted to win the auction! :) long story short, try ebay :) there's a reason why it's so popular. good luck.

Q: Need advice on a car buying decision?
Lord have mercy! My wife and I were talking about buying a second car so that when I get back from Iraq, I would have my own set of wheels. So my big gripe about this is that I have been in Iraq for 12 months and I really don't want to get stuck driving an old lady car. A family member offered to sell us a 1993 Buick Century Custom for $1,000.00. Only has 77,000 miles on is and is in PERFECT condition 4cyl, power everything. Now my problem it is not what I want, but financially it makes sense to get because of the condition, mileage, and gas mileage (21city 28 highway). So they question here is whether or not to get the buick or get the car that I want (2004 VW GTI for 8,000 with 65,000miles on it...gas mileage is like 31highway and being in the Army I travel alot). I know I sound like a whinny kid but I am just sick of hearing the "do what you want" line..Lol..Help me please?

A: Well I'd go for the Buick because it's reliable and the price is right, VW's on the other hand are known to have problems. But who knows you might get a good one.

Q: POLO GTI or VW GTI?
I currently have a 2004 Nissian Maxima, it is a great car, powerful, fast, big and comfortable but i have now moved to the city (Melbourne) and it is to big for driving and parking (man i hate parking it) in the city so i was thinking about trading it in and going with a GTI golf or Polo. Does any one have any advice for me on these 2 cars? Does any one one to but a good clean Maxima?

A: i dnt have one bt i have been on the GOLF Gti many times, they are great...do u mean the Golf 5 or Golf 4????bt be ready to pay for there services.they are nt the cheapest when they break down, they are expensive to maintain bt like any great car..Ovarall,GET ONE

Q: should I buy a new one or later model VW GTI?
new or old (2003 2004)

A: Personally I prefer used, but that does not make me right. But if you do decide use, I suggest, to compare which is a better value, take the mileage of the used car X 15 cents per mile and cost of warranty and subtract that from the new car price, the used has to below that amount to be consider a better value. Condition of course is everything. Not enough space to get into further detail. Good Luck

Q: Which car should i go for?
I am still deciding on a 2002-2004 nissan spec-v or a Vw 2002-2004 Gti or a 2005 Cobalt SS. please help?

A: the nissan is the most reliable. cobalt is a chevy cavalier, overpriced junk the VW is too expensive and time consuming to repair

Q: What car should I get ? ...?
Hi, I am 29 years old and I just been promoted to operations and finance manager for my company, so my 2004 Optra got to go sometime in 2007, want to move up to a nicer car. I am looking at getting one of these cars, all within the same budget I have ( $ 30k to $ 40k CDN ) - BMW Certified Pre-Owned 325i/Ci ( 2004-up ) - MB Certified Pre-Owned C-Class ( 2004-up ) - New VW Jetta 2.0T / GLi - New VW Golf GTi Here is the problem, I already have a 2006 MB C230 as my weekend car, as well as a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE. So, the car that will be replacing my Optra will be my daily driver to/from work. I have a serious dilemna, always love BMW since a very young age, always dreamt about owning one, but after driving the MB for the last few months, it is kind of nice also, definitely not as sporty as the MB, but couldn't afford the Bimmer at that time. At the same time, I also always like the Jetta and the GTi, regret about buying one instead of the Optra back in 2004.

A: REmember the promotion is nice and things can get ugly financially latter. The BMW will hold up better and has a lot of class. That`s my choice.
