Q: Can't connect my new ipod to my new 2007 VW city golf?
I just bought a brand new 2007 VW city golf and a brand new 4GB ipod, and am having trouble connecting the ipod to the car stereo. I bought a charger that says its for ipods, I connect it into the lighter plug and into the ipod, but nothing happens. Not even when I press the band or mode buttons.
Can anyone help me get my music to play?
A: Based on what you wrote you bought a battery charger - not an iPod-to-stereo cable. The car lighter is not connected to the speakers, it's only connected to the cars battery.
There are 4 options for listening to your iPod in your car. I listed them in order of sound quality (1 & 2 are equal in sound quality):
1. Connect an "RCA to headphone jack" cable into the aux inputs in the BACK of your car stereo deck (if your car has aux inputs). Here's a picture of what the cable looks like: http://www.rueducommerce.fr/hifi/images/...
The Cable only costs a few bucks. Installation will cost you anywhere from $50-150 depending on the car/stereo/install company (unless you feel confident pulling out your stereo deck yourself - definitely make sure that your stereo as the aux inputs before you do anything). If your car has a stock stereo deck you can most likely assume that it does NOT have aux inputs.
2. Connect your iPod up to the aux input in the FRONT of the stereo deck (which you probably don't have since you are asking this question).
3. Connect a cassette tape adapter to iPod if you have a tape deck.
4. Use an FM transmitter, which allows you to listen to the iPod through your FM radio (wireless). The sound quality is usually pretty poor and you are subject to inconsistent radio frequencies. It is your only option if you can't do one of the first three options.

Q: which vw is better 2007vw golf, or 2007 vw jetta?
i planning on buying a vw and my top two choices are vw golf and Jetta, the dealer told they both come with 8 airbags so i know their both safe cars, i test drove both of them, and even thogh they both have the same engine the Golf was alot quicker in acceleration becuase of the size, then again i will be having this car for 3 or 4 years and im questioning the space that the Golf will give me for the next few years becuase the Jetta has a huge trunk the size of a lincoln town car. So please can someone help me make the right Choice.
A: both cars are on the same chassis so it is really up to you which you want. they are both good cars, it just depends on weather you wana hatchback or a trunk.

Q: what mods can I put on my 2007 VW GOLF R32?
budget is 18000 pounds
A: I try to find something about it!!
Q: i am planning on buying a volkswagen my two choices are 2007 VW Golf, or 2007 VW Jetta, which one is better?
A: Check Consumer Reports on both models. Cost out insurane $$ with your agent. Model vs model & 2 vs 4 Door. Diesel is good for economy & longevity ( won't get wet ignition in rainstorm). Two doors are always more expensive insurance wise.Don't forget to test drive. I'd go Jetta if $$ no object. Every VW I owned was low reted by consumer agencies but I was happy to own 'em. Ran my '84 Diesel Rabbit for 160 K miles without major trouble. Shocks, new A-arms & brakes 2x. I I drove it like I stole it.
Q: On-going costs for a VW Golf versus Honda Civic 2007 models?
Making the decision on a new car and have narrowed it down to VW Golf Comfortline 2.0 FSI and Honda Civic Sport, however am concerned about the on-going prices for maintaining these cars and can't find any information. Can anyone give me info on the costs associated with either of these cars such as repairs, regular servicing, etc? Some people suggest that the VW would be more expensive but I can't find any info to support this.
I'm in Australia so the Golf is still the Golf, not the Rabbit. And also we don't have the GTi model here, the best we have is the 2.0 Sportsline.
A: I would go with gti definitely.
It is a European car.
Q: Where can I get a tilt/slide sunroof fitted to a VW Golf registered in 2007?
A: Please dont, my mum just got rid of a golf with a sunroof (1998 model) and it leaked like a sieve, the main dealer said it was a problem with all sunroofs on golfs, and look at it another way, it is another window for someone to get in your car through, try and get air-con fitted in stead, will add more money to the car.
Q: what type of aftermarket muffler can i use to replace the stock muffler on a 2007 vw Rabbit (GOLF).?
A: It really all depends on the use. Are you looking for sound or performance? Your best bet would be to go to a speed shop, let them look at the car, and tell them what you want it for. Let them give you suggestions, decide on what you want, and then shop around for the best deal.
Q: need guidence on a lease trade for my VW please help?
ok i have 2007 VW Golf (rabbit) i leased it for a 4 year contract!
i have had the car for 7 months now!
i really want the 2007 VW GTI, is there a way i can trade in the Golf for the 2007 GTi or a used 2006 GTI, i mean i know i can but can anyone guess how much it will cost me?
please help me, i have spend to much money on the Golf to make it as fast as a GTI but it will save me alot more money to just get the GTI becuase it already has everything i need!
i dont need any options just a plain GTI 2006 or 2007!
do you think its possible to tradethe Golf in and continue my Lease on the GTI?
A: No, you will not be able to trade it in and just move the lease to a GTI. You will have to pay the remainder of the lease minus the rental fee.
You can transfer the lease to someone else and be done with it, but you will have to pay the lease transfer fee.
I don't know what VW charges for that, I am trying to transfer my VW lease and they still haven't answer how much the fee is.
Q: will a catback exhaust that fits a 2007 VW GTI, also fit the 2007 VW Rabbit?
i have found a catback exhaust system for 06-07 VW Golf on ebay, i asked the seller if it fits the 07 Rabbit and he said it fits the 07 GTI but not sure about the Rabbit, the item number is 270085227168 if anyone is interested in helping me i would really appreciate it
A: Probably not. The only real difference between the Rabbit and the GTI is the engine and exhaust being part of the engine, they probably won't be the same.
Q: what is the best way to terminate a car loan?
I bought a car back in january.... 2007 VW golf..... I am getting married next year and moving overseas so I need to get rid of it and by then I will still owe a relative large amount of money on it.
What is my best option to get rid of the loan and the car??
A: Best way to end the loan? Pay it off.
Q: what is the best performance part that adds the most HP?
im looking to work on the performance of my New 2007 VW Golf, but i cant trust any of the company's that are selling chips, or Turbonators, i dont know if it will actually work, anyone know what is the best performance part for the 07 Golf that adds the most horse, it has a resonable price, and where can i get it?
A: Chip without a doubt. Example...the performance gains for the MkV GTI APR Chip is 50 extra hp (at the crank) and 80 lbs of tq (also at the crank). Price $650.
Now if you spend money on an intake lets say that's $200-$300 but you only gain about 4-10 hp at the wheels.
Full exhaust you spend $1000-$1300 from the turbo back. You get maybe 10-15 hp at the wheels.
So in the end the best bang for the buck is the chip.
Sure changing your turbo will get your more hp but you have to spend a considerable amount more than just a chip.
And nitrous is not even on all the time so that's only on for an instant. If I want to go fast, I want to go fast when I say and not be limited by the amount of nitrous I can carry. Plus, nitrous is a sketchy thing I think. That's my opinion.
Q: Buy a turbocharger and a intercooler for my car or give my wife and kids a good Christmas?
Give 3 reasons why I shouldn’t buy a turbocharger for my beautiful 2007 VW GOLF R32
A: It sounds like you have more than one kid, so...
Reason 1-Wife
Reason 2-kid 1
Reason 3-kid 2
Bonus reason-I love performance as much if not more than anyone else, but your turbo won't love you back and your family will.
