Q: I have trouble with my central locking VW GOLF 1994?
I have trouble with my central locking, on my 1994 VW GOLF,
on the front passenger door, unlock the drivers door,
it pops up then locks again, now my drivers side
is becoming stiff, and it no longer locks with the key fob,
I have checked all the fuses and, it's not connected to the fusebox, any ideas anyone?
A: you need to take the door panel off,and check it to make sure the lock system is still on good,,and it wont hurt if you,ll add a few drops of oil to the locks,and the locking mechanism i will help loosen them up a little ,that might take care of it,its worth a try,and if it works,its a cheap fix also.good luck with it,i hope this help.s.

Q: 1994 VW Golf diesel takes awhile to fill?
I seem to spend a lot of time standing at the pump filling my car, because the fuel just foams so much. It has always been like that, and I'm curious if everyone else has this problem, or if it is something I can fix.
A: Just inside the filler tube you will see a hole about a quarter of an inch in diameter, This is the vent tube. If the fuel nozzle is past that tube when filling the tank,and foam and fuel still surge out the filler tube, then the fuel tank will have to come off and the vent tube replaced. Good luck.

A: do a tune up on the car. as in tune up i mean spark plugs, wires, distributor Cap, air filter. that should help.

I am looking to sell my lovely car :( The cars body work is imacculate and the 2.0 engine is sound, 11 mths MOT and 5 months Tax. Full Service History the works. 115k mileage on the clock, CD face off stereo etc?? Does anyone know the rough value of the car and also the best way of selling it?? and you are nice, they might give you the 4 number code to
turn your radio back on. it won't be
found in the owners manual . this an anti theft device/radio that renders the radio inopertable in case it is stolen or disconnected from a 12volt battery sorce

Q: 1994 VW Golf 3?
My Golf will not start, it has been cutting off whenever you push in the clutch and the revs drop suddenly. But yesterday I started it went about 20 feet and it died, as far as I can tell it has spark and fuel, but the warning lights do not come on anymore when I turn the key to the on position. The battery is fine, it turns when I turn the key, whats the deal??
A: my 91&92 jetta did, that. for me the break lines were corroded and the transmission and starter needed replacing, and a few other small things. Costed about $2500 to fix it up.
Q: 1994 VW Golf is overheating?
when my mechanic came he found there was no water at all in the cooling system. We replaced the thermostat because "I" thought thats what it was (overheating+only cold air out of heater inside car = thermostat; so i thought).
So the thermostat was changed and all the fluids where topped up and low and behold it overheats again and the tempature light starts flashing red.
Any ideas?
A: It could be a few different things. It could be your fan temperature switch is not working properly that may need to be replaced. The thermostat may be the incorrect one for your car. It could be the water pump is not working correctly. The radiator may need to be replaced? Or you may have a radiator hose/s. Start with the thermostat make sure it is the right one for your model. I hate to suggest it but something like that I would get from the dealer and not a parts store
Q: 1994 VW Golf gear problem?

I'm having trouble getting the car to go into first gear. It changes into every other gear fine but it only goes into 1st one out of every 15 times I try. Anyone know what this could be caused by?
A: Does it go into first with the engine turned off? If so, then the clutch cable is suspect.
If it doesn't go into first even with the engine off, then the shift linkage is suspect. There are about 20 bushings, washers, and plastic rods that connect the shifter to the transmission. If you don't already have a Bentley service manual, I recommend getting one, especially if you plan on keeping your Golf. You can go to the dealer and they will print out a page of the shifter parts that you can take home and inspect before you inspect the car. I'll be willing to bet there's a bushing in that system that is too worn to let you shift into first.

Q: 1994 Vw Golf GL, no power not starting?
hi my car was working last night and before, but today just a lil while ago i tried starting it, no power, no light when i open the door, totally dead. anyone what this could be, if i am to fix it right away, shit i'm supposed to be on a date tonight.!!! ahhh
A: Dead battery, have it tested, get it boosted, or have it charged and see if it holds. Batteries life span is average of 5 years.

A: the federal govermant requires all manuafactures to place a sticker inside the drivers door to list the tire size,and the inflantation in pounds, along with the vin and date of manuifactor,
in months and year. this is one of those stickers yhat you can`t peal off easly, like the one under your that lists your emmisions
