Q: What is a good price for a brand new 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg edition with spoiler?
Spoiler is optional. I can't find a site with the true price. Also, a site explaining the features of the Wolfsburg would be helpful.

A: I test drove one two days ago. They wanted to sell it to me for 19,500 after all the rebates. They showed me the invoice and 19,500 was close to $2000 below the invoice. They also offered the special financing (0% for 36 months or low %age for longer financing periods). The Wolfsburg edition comes out every 10 years and you get an almost fully loaded car at a lower price. This was one of the reasons I went to drive the VW. Drove the Jetta and Passat, but ended up buying a Nissan... It is really hard making up you mind at this time of the year, because you have so many wonderful deals to choose from . I would recommend shopping around and looking at different makes also, but if VW is the car you want try at least 2 dealers and make them drop the price below invoice.

Q: How do you change the windshield wiper blade on my 2007 vw jetta?
I brought it to walmart to get the blade change because it seems that they ripped,the man told me that it has a weird lock on there that only the dealership can change. has anyone ever done it b4 cause i don't feel like paying 3times the price at the dealership.

A: To start off, don't buy wiper at Walmart for your VW! You actually can't anyway, because Vw blades are especially designed to fit the wiper arm. I just got some for my 2007 Jetta also. They cost 20 each, which is the price of a good wiper anyway. As far as changing them, its really not that hard at all. The only thing that might give you trouble is actually raising them off the windshield, since they hide under the hood. Here is what you do: put you key in the ignition, and turn it to the mode right before the car starts, then take the key out, and press down on the windshield wiper lever. This should cause the the pause half way through wiping. (instructions all found in manual. Could be under "service mode" or something like that.) Then, life the wiper of the windshield, and push in the tiny little square on the tip of the wiper arm. After that, you can just slide the wiper blade out. I am sure your local VW dealer will help for no charge, or you can just look in the manual Good luck!

Q: Is the exhaust of the 2007 VW GTI different from the one the 2007 VW Jetta GLI has?
I noticed a very different engine sound but the engine is exactly the same. I own a GLI and want to know if the exhaust system of the GTI can fit my car.

A: im not 100% sure about the mk5 but the mk4 difftence was only that the jetta had a longer system and the gti in a tad bit shorter. i assume its the same with the new models too.

Q: How do you re-program the remote/key for a 2007 VW Jetta?


A: I f you have two keys you can program the remote yourself like this : Place your first key into the ignition and turn to the second notch (do not start the car) Now close the door and place your second key into the handle lock Turn the key to the lock position and let it spring back to the central position. Hold down the Lock button on your new remote, you may hear a bleep from the car Now unlock the car using the key in the barrel and remove, then take your first key out of the ignition Close the door If not then it's a main dealer job. If you want to sync a new key to your immobiliser that's a main stealer job too.

Q: im thinking of buying a new car im either getting a 2007 vw jetta or a 2007 nissan sentra?


A: I say go for the Sentra, better on gas milage and proven in reliability. I'm for jap cars because they are proven; I had a neighbor that had the worst luck with his jetta; i'd never buy one, but hey its not my money and this is only my opinion. Drive Safe!

i can' t figure it out from any of the websites, but they are priced differently

A: With the Jetta base sedan, you get pretty much zero options to add to the car. you don't even get floor mats. If you jump to the Jetta 2.5, you get many more options and floor mats. I bought a 2007 Jetta 'Value Edition' about 10 months ago

Q: Rain leak into the boot (trunk) of 2007 VW Jetta?
Hi All, I purchased a VW Jetta from car giant in London. Unfortunately I found water coming into the boot (trunk) at the driver side. Remeber in the UK this is the Right hand side of the car. Any clues please. Thank you

A: It may be that the car has been in an accident and the panels have not been refitted correctly check all panels line up properly.

Q: Can the 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg stereo play MP3 discs?
I'm thinking of getting an audiobook on MP3 CDs as a Christmas present for someone who drives one, and I want to make sure she can use it in the car : )

A: Sure, you can play MP3 Discs in your sterero ! I bought 2 weeks ago a Bora Sport 2008 ( or Jetta in USA ) and the sound is wonderful ....not problem

Q: my 2007 vw jetta?
I just bought a 2007 VW Jetta and as I was looking over the engine, I can not locate the oil filter. Which leads me to a few questions. One, where is the oil filter located? Second, I have an airbag light that won't go off, so how do I get it to go off? Finally, do I have to get the oil changed and other maintenance done at a VW dealership? If not, will it void the manufacturer warranty? It is a 2.5L 5 cylinder automatic.

Q: XM Radio for 2007 VW Jetta Value Edition?
I got a new 2007 VW Value Edition last week and I love it. But since I got the cheapest version I didn't get the one with Sirius Satellite Radio ready. I installed XM Radio in my old car and I miss it quite a bit, so I was wondering if there's anyway I can install XM Radio on my new car without having to change the factory cd player. The stock one has FM/AM and CD/mp3 CD with the Aux Line in the glove compartment but that's it. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

A: Forget satellite radio and get HD radio is sounds great and is free and you can get an HD radio on ebay.

Q: 2007 vw jetta oil filter change?
on the bottom of the plastic oil filter canister is a threaded plug. when you unscrew it, there is an orange nipple with a barb on it(looks like you would afix a piece of tubing to it). what is that for? also, i`m looking for a repair manual for this vehicle in book form. have looked all over the web and can only find one for 2005-2006 jetta. any help? looking for a definitive answer to my previous ques. not just " go to this site and look it up yourself"

A: the plug on the bottom of the filter is to be removed so you can drain the canister out. It simply makes it easier to change the filter when the canister is drained first. Not for sure but the Toyota rav-4 and a couple of others have the same design and the new filter comes with a plastic nippple that you put about 6 inches of rubber hose on and when you press the nipple into the filter it will allow the oil to go through the hose and not all over the place. As far as the repair manual sorry dont know what to tell you. Being a 2007 they may not make one yet for public sale. Probably only something the dealers have right now.

Q: I'm thinking of buying a 2007 VW Jetta, do any current owners have strong opinions either for or against?
I have a 1999 Jetta and while there have been a few problems, it's been a pretty good car (drove me across country 3 times!). However, I've been reading some seriously negative reviews of the new Jetta. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

A: I wouldn't say that the German cars are the least reliable. I'd look to the American cars first to fit that bill. Anyways, VW has made strides to increase it's reliability. Their engines really have never been in question but sometimes electrical things failed in the past like in the MkIV generation (99-06). I know I had a friend who's power window motor broke 1 month after purchase. That said, the MkV generation ('06.5-present) is much better in terms of quality of their parts and reliability. Don't look at the past, look at the present. Check Consumer Reports to see what owners say. I own a '06 VW GTI (MkV generation) and I love it. They are solid cars that feel built better than the Japanese counterparts and have better interior materials and are assembled better I think. I know my friend was looking at Jetta's and cross shopped Accord's and hated what he was seeing and how the interiors looked, felt, sounded. Reason he didn't purchase one was because he liked his Audi A4 too much to give it up and the financials weren't in line.

Q: What are some good upgrades for a new 2007 VW jetta with a 2.0?
I'm just talking about some easy things that can add hp and improve speed. Thanks also, how much power/speed can be gained from these upgrades

A: Most power upgrades for 4 cylinder non-turbo VWs are pretty ineffective. You'll be paying for sound from intake and exhaust. But if you insist on getting more power reliably, bang for the buck, a new chip will make the most power. If you're looking for more fun out of the car, I would suggest getting an aftermarket suspension of springs with matched shocks. It's so much more fun being able to whip around corners while everybody else crawls through them!
