Q: How to stop back windshield wiper on a 2009 VW Rabbit?
If i start the back wiper i can't get it to stop...i even tried turning the car off and on and still no luck...i somehow stopped it, don't know how and was hoping someone could let me in on the trick
A: As said, it sounds like a short. Find the fuse that controls it and pull it if it ever gets stuck on again. However, being as it's a 2009, I'm sure you still have a warranty; so why not get it fixed for free?
Q: Will 2009 VW Rabbit 2dr cost more in insurance than Rabbit 4dr?
i never had a 2dr vehicle before,
so I wonder if the 2dr rabbit will cost more in insurance than a 4 dr.
Thx for answers!!
A: It depends on the insurance companies. Not all companies charge the same rates for the same vehicles. Check with your current agent first. If you are not happy with the rate, then shop around.
As a general rule though, 2 door cars can cost slightly more to insure than their 4 door counterparts.
Q: Curious if the 2009 VW Rabbit is a MK5 or 6?
Not much else to ask, I am getting one and was curious if the MK6 model was out now or if that was still going to be few years. Thanks!
A: The Mk6 Rabbit is gonna be released in Europe for the '09 model year n in the US for (hopefully) the 2010 model year. Here's a pic -

Q: what do you think of the 2009 vw rabbit?
let me know
A: I could be wrong, but I think the first replier is mistaken. I believe only the Jetta is built in Mexico and the Golf/Rabbit is built in Germany. Regardless of where it's assembled, it's a good car. I have an '08 Rabbit (2 door, 5 speed manual) and I really like it. I just passed 10,000 miles and so far have had absolutely no problems with it. It's very comfortable, quite, quick, handles wonderfully, and it actually does really well in the snow too. Also, I highly HIGHLY recommend the manual gearbox. It shifts very smoothly and the clutch has a good feel. It's a pretty easy car to drive and I regularly return about 24-26 MPG in mostly city driving, contrary to what the window sticker says. The gearbox will happily lug around at 30 MPH in 5th gear all day long since the gears are spaced pretty closely. Also, mine has the sport package which I really like. It comes with nice 17" rims, a spoiler, and a chrome exhaust tip that really makes a positive difference in the car's appearance. It looks much more like a GTI with these upgrades.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with my car and rate it a 9 out of 10; definitely recommend it.
Q: 2009 VW Jetta, Jetta Sportwagon, or Rabbit?
Hey everyone, I see now that the 2009 VW line-up has three great car competing for love, and I want your opinion on which one you like the most. So I am asking everyone, which do you like the most, minus the TDI option that deserves it's own question. Which one is coolest, most customizable, etc. If you can also help, I am considering buying one of these as my first car in three years, off lease. In your opinion, which would be best? My school consists of many VW drivers with used Passat's and Jetta's. Which would be best in winter? If I get the Wagon, I have to get the panoramic sunroof, lol. I also will customize the car, lightly, to make her my own. Thanks in advance for the help!
A: Coolest is what's cool to you. Are you cutomizing for your taste or for other's tastes? You can customize each to your hearts content since most body and interior parts will bolt on to the Jetta-Golf. The passat is nicer but there's no TDI in the US.
The Jetta GLI is fastest and it can have the sport interior and comes with HID headlights and is the fastest. And if you want to modify it, it has the most potential for power.
The Jetta TDI and wagon are best if you plan on keeping the car a long time or if you drive a lot. After the $1300 tax credit, you are only paying about $700 over a 2.5L engine Jetta. If you want a TDI and want a review, invoice price, etc., see here: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q_how_to/a5/jettachecklist.htm Resale on a TDI is also much better than on a gasser.
The rabbit is the same as a Jetta from the rear seat forward. It's a hatchback instead of a sedan. The GTI rabbit is basically the same as a Jetta GLI.
Q: How reliable is the new VW Rabbitt 2008 or Jetta 2008 or 2009
I like to replace a 2004 Accord V6
(25K I know the car has plenty of life left I just dont like my accord)
with a Rabbitt or Jetta 2008 like some feed back or reliability on Rabbit and Jetta before I buy one love VW but always buy Japanese cars like Honda, Toyota & Nissan because I hate to deal with problems.
Thanks in advance.
A: I have the 2007 Rabbit 6 speed auto, and absolutely love it! I think it's about my 8th or 9th car and it is by far my favourite (I've also owned, Mazda's, Ford's, Honda's, Chevy's). VW includes things on their cars that others either don't offer or charge tons extra for. Things like heated seats, heated outside mirrors, lumbar support, etc. You are buying new, so don't let the others tell you about all the problems you will have, those are generally with older models, and any problems you do have will be fixed under warranty. I haven't had any issues with mine and I've now had it just under 2 years. The speed and pick up are great, and it loves to drive fast.
I think really all you can do is test drive the models you are looking at and find the one that is the right fit for you. I just know when I was shopping the Rabbit fit me, and was definitely the best deal, I think Japanese models are way over priced for what you get.

Q: need help buying a new car?
so i want to buy a 2009 vw rabbit and the price is 19000 and i have no credit and the percent will be 5.9 percent, for 72 months, this is my question, what can i do and how can i do it, for ex can i lower the price and what do i say, can i have them add some free options etc, any help would be thankful thank you
my mom is a cosigner and she has good credit and we are putting 4000 down as a down payment and the fifnatial office already said we can get the car if 5.9 percent
A:
I use edmunds.com web sire, go to it and type all options and model etc. and they will give you a tmv ( true market value ) that is the price you should pay for the car in the area you live in, than if the proce is lower take them into sealer and tell him this is what the car is worth and ask them to sell it to you for that price, if they won't go elsewhere / I will say they will sell it to you for that price, so before you buy use that site and that way you'll know for sure what you should pay.
Q: 2009 Challenger SE Good For High School Student?
Hi, i was wondering if the new 09 challenger se is good for a high school student like me?
im a senior in high school and my parents are looking to buy me a 09 VW Rabbit -_-
i was wondering if it is a good idea to get the new Challenger SE's with the V-6?
i wish they came in stick shift though :(
A: Well, if you like really big coupes, that's a good choice. They're longer than a Dodge Charger/Chrysler 300, and pretty heavy. If you're considering a rear wheel drive coupe, check out the Mustang, which allows for a manual transmission.
That being said, I'm a strong supporter of buying used cars for high-schoolers. Even if you think you'll take really good care of it, you certainly won't care for it now like you would a few years from now when you're in/finished with college. Drive a used car for a few years, get all of the crazy driving out of your system, and then spring for the new car.
